Community Events

CryoLife® is passionate about and proud to support local community service events, such as the American Heart Association’s Annual Heart Walk and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Like CryoLife, these organizations maintain a commitment to invest in the local community and to make a positive difference in others’ lives.

To fight cardiovascular diseases, the American Heart Association supports research, education and advocacy and helps heart disease and stroke patients. CryoLife participates in the annual Heart Walk to demonstrate the Company’s commitment to human welfare and community service by raising funds to benefit the AHA. To learn how you can make a difference, visit www.americanheart.org.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year and to distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. CryoLife supports the Toys for Tots Program by conducting an annual toy collection from employees, vendors, family and friends. If you would like to learn how you may participate, visit www.toysfortots.org.

CryoLife also participates in educational programs such as the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine, the nation’s foremost program in pre-medical education for high school students. The Forum challenges students to learn about a broad range of topics, including educational requirements, career options, clinical practice, and complex ethical and legal issues facing the medical profession today. In addition, CryoLife invests in local education by providing educational facility tours to high school and college science students. These tours are designed to educate students on CryoLife’s products and processes and to provide information on possible careers in the biotechnology field.
