J. Patrick Mackin has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of CryoLife since September 2014. He was appointed to the CryoLife Board in October 2014, and Chairman of the Board in April 2015. Mr. Mackin has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining CryoLife, he served as President of Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management, the largest operating division of Medtronic, Inc., from August 2007 to August 2014. At Medtronic, he previously held the positions of Vice President, Vascular, Western Europe and Vice President and General Manager, Endovascular Business Unit. Prior to joining Medtronic in 2002, Mr. Mackin worked for six years at Genzyme, Inc. serving as Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Cardiovascular Surgery Business Unit and as Director of Sales, Surgical Products division. Before joining Genzyme, he spent five years at Deknatel/Snowden-Pencer, Inc. in various sales and marketing roles and three years as an officer in the U.S. Army. Mr. Mackin received an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Peter Barthold is Vice President of Research and Development for CryoLife and General manager of JOTEC GmbH in Hechingen, Germany. Peter has 24 years of experience in the medical device business. Prior to the acquisition, he spent 17 years at JOTEC and gained vast experience developing and launching over a dozen new product lines, including both endografts and conventional grafts. He began his career in various R&D project managing roles in Gambro and the Institut fuer Angewandte Forschung in Reutlingen, Germany. Peter has an Engineering Degree in Chemistry of Synthetic Materials from Reutlingen University.

John Davis is Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing. John has over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing leadership roles. Prior to joining CryoLife, John served as Executive Vice President Global Sales and Marketing at CorMatrix Cardiovascular. Prior to CorMatrix he served as Region Vice President in the Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management division at St. Jude Medical.

Among his significant previous positions, John spent 14 years at Medtronic. While at Medtronic, he served the Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management team, including six years as Vice President of the Southeast Region. John received several Medtronic awards including the President’s Club Award as Sales Representative and District Manager. He won the National Region of the Year while serving as Vice President. John received Medtronic’s Star of Excellence Award for his work in field force sizing and deployment. The Star of excellence is Medtronic's highest recognition for quality and innovation.

John received a bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina University.

Matthew Getz joined CryoLife in August 2019 as Vice President, Human Resources.  Matt brings more than 25 years of human resources leadership experience in media, banking, and technology industries, and will oversee the company’s global human resources practice and strategy.  Prior to joining CryoLife, he served as the Chief Human Resources Officer of Encompass Digital Media, and has held senior human resources roles at SunTrust Bank, Xiocom Wireless, Earthlink and BlessingWhite.  Matt holds an MBA with a concentration in organizational management and international business from Georgia State University and a BBA in accounting from Mercer University.

Andrew (Drew) Green joined CryoLife as the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs in March 2021.  Drew has 28 years of regulatory, clinical, quality, and business experience in the medical device and biologics industry.  More specifically, he spent two 2.5 years at the FDA as a scientific reviewer in the cardiovascular devices branch, almost 10 years at Novoste Corporation as the Vice President of Regulatory, Clinical, and Quality, and five years providing regulatory, clinical, and quality consulting services to medical device companies.  Drew also has broad business experience, having served as the President and COO of CorMatrix Cardiovascular for several years before ultimately serving as its CEO.   After the acquisition of the CorMatrix assets by Aziyo Biologics, Drew continued with Aziyo in several roles, including as the Executive Vice President of Regulatory and Medical Affairs.  He started his career servicing as a combat medic in the US Army and Army Reserves.  Drew has a Bachelor in Biological Sciences and a Masters in Bioengineering, both from Clemson University.

Jean F. Holloway, Esq., is Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining CryoLife in 2015, she held various positions, including Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of C.R. Bard, Inc., Deputy General Counsel, Medtronic, Inc., Vice President, Litigation, Boston Scientific, Inc., and Deputy General Counsel, Guidant Corporation. Jean also spent nearly 15 years in private practice as a trial lawyer at Dorsey & Whitney, Faegre & Benson and Sidley & Austin. She clerked for two years on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals for the Honorable Luther M. Swygert. Jean has a J.D./MBA (cum laude) from the University of Chicago, and two undergraduate degrees from Yale University in engineering and political science.

Amy D. Horton, CPA, has served as Chief Accounting Officer of CryoLife since 2006. She has been with the company since January 1998, serving as Controller from April of 2000 to August 2006 and as Assistant Controller prior to that. From 1993 to 1998, Amy was employed as a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Young. She received her Bachelor of Science and master’s degrees in Accounting from Brigham Young University.

D. Ashley Lee, CPA has served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer since November 2004. Ashley has been with the company since December 1994, serving as Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer from December 2002 to November 2004; as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer from April 2000 to December 2002; and as Controller from December 1994 until April 2000. Previously, Ashley served as the Assistant Director of Finance for Compass Retail, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Equitable Real Estate, and was employed as a certified public accountant with Ernst & Young, LLP. Ashley received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Mississippi.

Dennis Maier joined CryoLife in July 2017 as Vice President of Kennesaw Operations. Dennis has more than 15 years in the medical device industry. Prior to joining CryoLife, he served as the Senior Director of Baxter Healthcare’s direct material global purchasing and supplier management team. He also served as Vice President of Global Sourcing for Hill-Rom, where he led several cost savings initiatives and helped integrate several acquisitions. Prior to that, he spent five years with Medtronic leading several Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management (CRDM) manufacturing operations, as well as serving as Director of CRDM Global Commodity management. Dennis also spent eight years with Abbott Vascular and Boston Scientific (both former Guidant Corporation businesses) in a variety of manufacturing, sourcing, and quality control roles which included managing the Xience V catheter manufacturing operation in Temecula, CA, the Coronary Implants operation in Clonmel, Ireland, and Boston Scientific’s Contract manufacturing group in St. Paul, MN. Prior to entering the medical device industry, Dennis worked briefly for Ford Motor Company and served six years as an officer in the U.S Army. He received an MBA from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Rochelle L. Maney is CryoLife’s Vice President, Global Quality. She has over 20 years of experience in the medical device and tissue industries and has been with the company since 2000 serving in multiple leadership roles, most recently as Vice President, Quality for the Kennesaw, Georgia manufacturing facility. She is the lead executive for Quality in strategy, diligence, and acquisitions and is responsible for all quality functions at the Company’s three manufacturing facilities in Georgia, Texas, and Hechingen, Germany. Rochelle is a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist through the American Association of Tissue Banks and a Certified Quality Auditor through the American Society of Quality. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Berry College.

Marshall Stanton, M.D.

Marshall Stanton, M.D. has over 20 years experience in the medical device industry and over 30 years advancing healthcare. Before joining CryoLife, he held various senior management positions at Medtronic including senior vice president and president of the Pain Therapies Business Unit, general manager of the Implantable Defibrillator Business, and leader of the Clinical Research department of the Cardiac and Vascular Group. While there, he served on the leadership team of the Medtronic Women’s Network. Prior to Medtronic, he practiced cardiology for a decade at the Mayo Clinic. Marshall received his MD degree from the Medical College of Virginia and BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
